Fans Remake 'The Binding of Isaac' Using Papercraft Assets

It's not just fascinating gender critiques of classic games that are dominating the mod scene this week: some fans simply want to see their favorite dark "Zelda"-like done entirely in papercraft.

That's the story behind the fan mod of Edmund McMillen's "The Binding of Isaac" with paper assets and an all-new, remixed soundtrack.

The remake is bring developed for the Mac, Windows, and Linux with fan-sourced covers of Danny Baranowsky's soundtrack, with every element of the game being drawn by hand by designer Amos Wenger. Wenger is making "Paper Isaac" as part of the OneGameAMonth ongoing game jam alongside artist/level designer Myriam Bechikh, and artist Einat Schlagmann.
