Visceral Games’ hallucinogenic trailer for their first expansion to “Dead Space 3” breaks open the ending of that game somewhat, so maybe don’t watch it if you haven’t finished the campaign.
Taking place after the explosive (literally) conclusion of “Dead Space 3,” “Awakened’ DLC sees Carver and Clarke stranded on Terra Nova and still plagued by a pesky Necromorph problem, it seems. The trailer features what looks like a human-Necro hybrid offering a new enemy type, perhaps?
There are Unitologists there, too and those guys are the worst guys. No ladies, though. Ladies don’t mess around with this crazy Necromorphic death/evolution cult noise.
The official word:
Left for dead on Tau Volantis, Isaac Clarke and John Carver face a daunting journey. As madness takes hold, they find they can’t trust their eyes or each other. The trek leads to the ship Terra Nova, now home to a sadistic cult of Unitologists. The horror continues as the Dead Space saga enters its darkest chapter.
The “Awakened” DLC will be available on March 12 across all platforms.
