'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows' Heads To Consoles And PC This Summer

It's pizza time, dudes! Well, not quite yet, but Activision and Red Fly recently revealed that "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" will be slicing its way to Xbox 360, PS3 and PC download queues very soon.

The four-player online co-op brawler doesn't necessarily follow the story of the current animated series airing on Nickelodeon, but the "hyper-realistic 3D-style" is clearly inspired by the show. Judging from the trailer above and the screenshots below, Red Fly seems to be re-introducing a darker breed of Turtle in the game, which could be very interesting considering this is the first title in a three game deal with Activision.

The trailer doesn't give too much away in terms of gameplay, but the proposed “skill-based combat system built around combo-driven action” sounds promising in comparison to the simplistic controls found in recent remakes such as "Turtles in Time."

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and Steam this summer.
