A Quick Look At Razer’s League of Legends Collector’s Edition Naga Hex

Pro gaming peripheral maker, Razer, occasionally dabbles in branded merch. More often, these new peripherals are a recolored version of an existing product. If showing off your love for a particular game or franchise is your thing, then this League of Legends Naga Hex should fit the bill quite nicely.

Essentially, this is a collector’s edition of the standard Naga Hex, with the biggest difference being some spiffy light up buttons and “LoL” logo in soothing amber hue. The mouse feels really nice in your hand and glides effortlessly across the mousepad, without any lag or skip thanks to the ultra precise 5600dpi laser sensor. The 6 side hex-configured buttons are easily and quickly accessible, retaining Razer’s signature “clickiness” allowing for rapid presses during especially intense matches. There’s also two more buttons fitted at the top for a few more mapping options. Admittedly, these buttons proved a little too cumbersome for my hand but overall the button layout and responsive scroll wheel adapted to my playstyle.

Ok, confession time- I’ve never really played “League of Legends” (please not in the face~). So I tried out the Naga with a bit of ol’ “Morrowind” and “Diablo III.” Not exactly the most hectic games but with with a total of 11 mappable buttons, I was pretty much playing single-handedly. Full specs below:

  • 6 MOBA/action-RPG optimized mechanical thumb buttons
  • 11 total programmable buttons
  • Special switches in buttons for 250 clicks-per-minute
  • 10 million click life cycle
  • Ergonomic curved design
  • Razer Synapse 2.0
  • 5600dpi Razer Precision 3.5G Laser Sensor
  • 1000Hz Ultrapolling/1ms response time
  • Approximate size : 116 mm / 4.57 in. (l) x 78 mm / 3.07 in. (w) x 42 mm / 1.65 in. (h)
  • Approximate weight: 134 g / 0.30 lbs.

Additionally, there’s a Razer Goliathus League of Legends Collector’s Edition that boasts some pretty neat art.

Featuring an ultra slick weave and and increased size, it’s a perfect compliment for any mouse. The size was especially noticeable as I’ve been using a rather dinky Wacom tablet at work. So the extra space makes it seem like you have an entire table to yourself. Now I just need a desk large enough for my whole set up in my cramped workplace.

Razer Naga Hex League of Legends Collector’s Edition is available now for $89.99 and the Razer Goliathus League of Legends Collector’s Edition is $19.99. There’s also a lovely bonus prize for early adopters will get access to Tryndamere, The Barbarian King. If you already own a Naga Hex, then you might not need an “LoL” version unless you’re a huge fan. Otherwise, it’s a superb gaming mouse that provides precise pixel perfect control and those looking for an upgrade should take the Naga Hex for a spin.
