Hardcore Gears fans will be rewarded with an extra campaign with the prequel provided they earn the highest ranks in the main story.
Labeled “Aftermath,” players will what kind of trouble Baird and Cole before meeting up with Marcus to duel the Locust Queen during the endgame of “Gears of War 3.” It interesting that People Can Fly will incorporate their own nod to the final events while providing a fresh experience to tie the stories together. Talking to OXM:
“So you’ll see when you go in there some people you recognise, some places, maybe even some enemies and then see how the two storylines weave together in the context of the whole franchise.”
In each campaign mission, there are particular sections that have various parameters you’ll need to meet for maximum completion. You’ll need to vary your tactics as full completion will have you racking specific numbers for headshots, tracking weapons used, and making sure you don’t go DBNO, among many other things. If you’ve played any of the other Gears (especially on the highest difficulty) then you know this won’t exactly be a walk in the park.
“Gears of War: Judgment” will be available March 19th for Xbox 360.
