‘Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate’ Gets Wii U Gamepad Support In April Update

Capcom’s “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” won’t launch for Wii U until March 19th, but the publisher has revealed the first update for the game. Available in April, the update will bring new functionality to the game in response to community feedback.

Included is online cross-region functionality, which will allow North American and European players to play together with up to four players. In addition to playing with friends across the pond, the April update will give players the ability to play away from the TV, using only the Wii U Gamepad.

Capcom will also support the Wii U and 3DS title with additional downloadable quests for “several months after release.” The first downloadable quest will be available at launch, and it won’t cost you a dime.

A demo for “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” is available via the eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS right now.
