Square's 'Murdered: Soul Suspect' Teased With This Talky Trailer

Now I won't be able to stop thinking about "Soul Survivor."

Square Enix has released a noirish trailer with a supernatural bent for their upcoming murder mystery game "Mudered: Soul Suspect."

Appropriately for a game built around a mystery, Square Enix is unveiling "Murdered: Soul Suspect" slowly, with just the vaguest of reveals. This time out, the publisher has released a VO-heavy trailer showing presumably the game's victim/protagonist falling to his death. Also: ghosts!

Along with last year's "Hitman: Absolution" and "Sleeping Dogs," "Murdered: Soul Suspect" shows the publisher really embracing film-inspired narratives (from 90's Hong Kong action pastiche to Euro-thriller action move to film noir).

Over on the game's FAQ page in the official forums, "Murdered: Soul Suspect" has been given a 2014 release window for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 with no current plans for other platforms. It's not clear at this time who's developing the game, but its English-language social media manager is based in the U.K..
