'Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D' Barrels Onto 3DS This Summer

Nintendo had a lot to talk about during their Valenitine's Day Nintendo Direct, and one of the most exciting announcements had to be "Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D." That's right, Nintendo is rebuilding the Wii game specifically for Nintendo 3DS.

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D will arrive on Nintendo's 3DS this summer in North America and Europe. A more specific release date wasn't revealed, but summer isn't too far away for those of you anxious to give this game a go.

According to Reggie Fils-Aime, president and COO of Nintendo of America, "This version of the game is being rebuilt for Nintendo 3DS."

For those of you not familiar with Donkey Kong's latest adventures, this game is a remake of the 2010 Wii game of the same name, minus the whole 3D thing. If you want to get an early look at Donkey Kong in the third dimension, a 3D video will be added to the eShop on Nintendo 3DS later today.
