Aquaman To Make Waves In 'Injustice: Gods Among Us'

In the new regime of Netherrealm's upcoming fighting game, it looks like the King of the Seven Seas might just be the king of two things: jack, and well... you know, what else.

You can't have a massive, universe-shaking event in the DC Universe without finding out how it affects Atlantis. No, seriously. The publisher has been doing some solid work in the last year or so rehabilitating the character of Aquaman in the New 52--inasmuch as the character needed "rehabilitation." A super strong, half-human ocean ruler who frequently has to battle arcane, deep-sea magics alongside his hot Atlantean wife, old Arthur Curry has a lot going for him.

At lest in the regular DCU.

In the mirror universe of "Injustice," it looks like he might be under the thumb of the assembled heroes who've decided to take control of the world. We've seen something similar play out in the miniseries "Flashpoint," where Atlantis and the Amazons of Themyscira remain in perpetual war with humanity pressed in between. Could something like that play out in "Injustice?"

"Injustice: Gods Among Us" will be available April 16 on the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U.
