'Journey' Nabs The Annie Award For Video Game Animation

Over the weekend, the Annie Awards handed over a stack of trophies to one film featuring 30 years of video game history and a game that represents some next-level stuff when it comes to communication with other players.

The big story is "Wreck-It Ralph" handily dominating the awards for Disney Animation Studios, racking up the Best Feature, Best Direction, and Best Screenplay wins.

But the actual video game that won the award show's prize for the curiously-named "Best Animated Video Game" was thatgamecompany's "Journey," which beat out "Skullgirls," "Borderlands 2," and "Family Guy: Back to the Multiverse."
