The PlayStation Web Store Is Live In the US

Want to set up downloads on your PS3 while you’re at work or grandma’s house? Well, now you can do just that, as the PlayStation web store has gone live in the US, Mexico, Brazil and Canada. It’s really called the Sony Entertainment Network now, but either way were now able to find games, demos and all sorts of other digital goodies right from your PC.

For now, PS3 users who access the store from a PC will be adding items to their “My Downloads” section within in the PS Store. However, future updates will include the ability to initiate automatic remote downloads. Other new features headed to the browser-based store include “advanced recommendation functionality” and the ability to browse on mobile phones and tablets.

Sony’s new online store was first launched in Europe in December of 2012, but has just finally made it’s way to the Americas. If you want to check it out and get some downloads ready without actually having to find it on your PS3 or Vita, head over to
