If you’ve got $15 burning holes in your presumably deep pockets, Gearbox has some new “Borderlands 2” customization options to sell you. Fifteen packs of new skins and heads — three for each character — are now available to any and all fashionable Vault Hunters.
Each pack will include one skin and one head for one character and cost $0.99. There are three “themes” available: Domination, Madness, and Supremacy. That header image, for example, contains the Madness set.
On the one hand, I like that Gearbox has broken each item down individually, allowing players to pick and choose which heads and color-schemes they like. I haven’t found many in-game Axton heads I like, for example, whereas Zer0’s scarecrow face stands out nicely.
On the other hand, let me remind you that “Borderlands 2” is a first-person game. The only people to see how stylish your Salvador is would be your co-op partner and the grenade-wielding suicide-midgets trying to kill you. But, hey, if you want to pay a dollar for a videogame outfit you won’t even get to look at, you’ll find no judgment from me — we accept all kinds in Pandora.
And, hey, while you’re giving Gearbox your money — “Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt” DLC was released last week.
