'Resident Evil: Revelations' Infecting Consoles In May

Capcom wants to take you back to the bioweapon-plagued interior of the Queen Zenobia as the 3DS title heads to the PC, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PS3 this spring.

In the announcement, Capcom has promised an HD graphics update for the console release, along with an added difficulty level, a new enemy, additional weapons and skills, and a playable version of the Hunk character, all for $49.99.

The 3DS game followed the blandly crisscrossing storylines of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they investigated a seemingly abandoned cruise ship that (surprise) was crazy with infected creatures. The console version will benefit from a second analog stick--the 3DS version supported the optional Circle Pad Pro, and was a little sticky to play if you just had the single analog stick to control the tank-like Chris and Jill. The addition of a new enemy type might be welcome since there was only so much of the shambling, pale creatures occupying the ship and grasping wildly at our heroes.

"Revelations" will be available on all platforms May 21st for $49.99 at retail and digital for the PC and PS3, with the 360 and Wii U digital versions to follow sometime after.
