This 'Evolution of Video Game Consoles' Infographic May Teach You A Thing Or Two

Many folks are under the impression that video game consoles started with the Atari 2600 or Nintendo's NES in the 1980s. However, video game consoles can actually be traced all the back to the 1960s, with the introduction of "The Brown Box," which was followed by the Magnavox Odyssey in the 70s.

To set the record straight, Ript Apparel (a great source for gaming t-shirts) has put together a rather impressive infographic. The "Evolution of Video Game Consoles" highlights gaming machines from the 60s all the way through 2012 with the introduction of Nintendo's Wii U. Head past the break for trip down memory lane!
