Today, Capcom announced the official release date for the highly-anticipated “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” for Wii U and 3DS. In addition to hitting retail shelves in March, “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” will also be downloadable on launch day via the eShop, and eager fans can check out a demo next month.
Beginning March 19th, players will “take on the role of a hunter sent to explore a settlement within the Monster Hunter universe, completing quests on their journey to seek and slay monsters while improving their skills and earning equipment upgrades.” According to Capcom, the game is the most expansive entry the series has ever received, featuring over 200 quests.
One of the more interesting features is the fact that Wii U and 3DS players will be able to play the game together. The game can be played alone, but there’s also the option of playing with friends online on Wii U, locally using up to four Nintendo 3DS systems or a combination of up to three 3DS systems and one Wii U system.
If your anxious to get your hands on “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” you’ll be able to download a demo for 3DS and/or Wii U beginning February 21st. Capcom has also revealed that MH3U for Wii U will support voice chat at launch, and a day one update will add USB keyboard support.
