Capcom’s 3DS Games Could Be Headed To The eShop [Update: ‘Resident Evil’ And ‘Monster Hunter’ Confirmed!]

Wouldn’t it be great if you could hit the 3DS eShop and download all those Capcom games you’ve been waiting to pick up? Well, you may be able to do just that very soon. In a comment on Capcom’s official forums, the company revealed plans to make past titles downloadable via Nintendo’s handheld marketplace.

“Many of our our other previously released 3DS titles will be coming to the eShop in the coming months,” said Capcom senior vice president Christian Svensson. “Details to follow when we’re closer to release.”

Unfortunately, there’s no word on which Capcom games will be making the switch to digital, but games like Super Street Fighter IV 3D and Resident Evil: Mercenaries 3D seem like safe bets. Capcom also has Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate launching in March, which could mean we’ll see it released digitally the same, like many other games have been.

Like Svensson said, we’ll know more as we get closer to an actual release. Stay tuned.
