Four new multiplayer maps, a new Zombies mode and map, and a new gun are coming to the January 29th update for “Black Ops II.”
Among the updates, “Turned” is a new zombies mode which will allow players to control a zombie for the first time in “Call of Duty.” It joins the new level “Die Rise,” with its twisting, maze-like layout and open elevator shafts.
Making the maps more deadly seems to be the theme with a couple of the new multiplayer additions: the dam-centered Hydro includes an underground area where players can potentially be swept away to their deaths if they’re in the wrong place at the wrong time, while the Alps-set Downhill offers ski lifts which can provide an insta-kill bump to the noggin if a player is right under them. The other new maps include the skate park-set Grind (and if there’s no way to skate the ramps, “Tony Hawk”-style, this was a wasted opportunity) and the Gobi Desert-inspired Mirage.
You can check out the trailer for the new content below. “Revolution” will be available on the 360 for $14.99/1200 MS Points or free if you have the season pass.
