'Dead Space 3' Early Boss Concept Art Is Creepy, Also Crawly

Visceral games releases images for original visions of some of the spiny, crawling, murderous heavies they had planned for "Dead Space 3."

This nightmare gallery of insect-inspired horrors is from some of the early work for "Dead Space 3," posted today on the game's Facebook page. While the work trades in the same kind of Geiger-by-way-of-complex-entomology from the first two games, I dig it. It's interesting that as the series has progressed, the vision for the things that hero Isaac Clarke encounters become less and less recognizably formed from humans and tilt into straight up super monsters.
