'Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z' Not Making The Next Gen Leap

The collaboration between Tecmo Koei/Team Ninja and "Mega Man" creator Keiji Inafune appears to be sticking with the current gen for the "Ninja Gaiden" side-story, based on a recent job posting.

One of the minor mysteries of the Spark Unlimited-developed "Ninja Gaiden" followup was what platform we'd see it on, given that if the open secret planned launches of the next Xbox and PlayStation do come to pass next winter, and developers and publishers are likely in the process of pumping out games for those consoles at launch.

Well you can strike Spark Unlimited off of the list of devs working on the next gen hardware, if a post for senior character artist unearthed by Siliconera for "Yaiba" is to be trusted.

The game places players in the role of a cyborg ninja on the trail of "Ninja Gaidnen" hero Ryu Hayabusa, adopting a cel-shaded look to tell its story of assassins, mechs, and zombies.
