The shooter based on the "Star Trek" reboot is headed to consoles and the PC in April. Plus: costumes!
So I wonder if this game will be canon. In the lead-up to next year's "Star Trek Into Darkness," a lot of fans have been poring over supplementary material like the IDW comics for clues about who the big villain the film might be. Will the simply titled "Star Trek," be held up as part of the new continuity, as it introduces the lizard-like Gorn to the new timeline? I mean, the game's site says it's set in the canon, but not that it is canon.
These are the kinds of questions that keep me up at night.
Anyway, we'll probably know more when the Digital Extremes developed "Star Trek" is released on April 23. It's coming to the 360, PS3, and PC, with digital download versions for the latter two platforms.
If you preorder the game, publisher Namco Bandai and Digitial Extremes will include the Elite Officer Pack DLC which includes new weapons and costumes for Kirk and Spock. You can find the full list of items and the game's box art below.
