Xbox LIVE's Major Nelson revealed that the Kickstarter-funded doc from Portland-based 2 Player Productions would be airing Saturday via Microsoft's platform. The documentary charts the first year of "Minecraft"-maker Mojnag's existence under Markus "Notch" Persson, the brains behind the addictive construction game for PCs, which, as it turns out, made its way to the 360 in recent months.
According to the film's Kickstarter campaign page, 2 Player's goal with "The Story of Mojang" was to "analyze the unprecedented success of Minecraft, gain insight into its impact from journalists and industry professionals, and meet the fans whose lives have been changed by the game." You can find out for yourself if they accomplished their mission when the "Minecraft" tile on the 360 Dashboard displays local times it will be airing.
