Rockstar Wants A 'Grand Theft Auto' That Features All Of The Previous Cities

Imagine if Rockstar made a "Grand Theft Auto" game that combined all of the cities featured in past games in the franchise. It could be a beautiful thing and recent comments hint that this is something Rockstar wants to accomplish.

In a recent interview with Digital Times, "Grand Theft Auto" series producer and head of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies talked about the recent "Vice City" 10th anniversary, and revealed some of Rockstar's hopes for the future of the long-loved franchise.

Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas, and in that context reimagining "Vice City" would be very interesting.

Flying between different areas could be pretty fun, but If Rockstar did one day create a "Grand Theft Auto" that included all of the different cities, one of the challenges would be the time period. "Vice City" was set in the 80s while other games were set in the present day... I wonder what Tommy Vercetti's been up to the past 10 years.
