‘Yoshi’s Land’ Coming Soon To Wii U?

Even though the console launched with “Nintendo Land” and a brand new Mario platformer, Nintendo fans (myself included) are clamoring for more first-party titles for Wii U. Thankfully, if a recent Best Buy / Future Shop listing is any indication, we may be getting just that, a bit sooner that we thought.

A listing for “Yoshi’s Land” recently showed up on the Canadian Best Buy and Future Shop websites. No artwork for the supposed Wii U title has been revealed and Nintendo has yet to issue an official statement regarding the game, but a brief description was available, which you can read below.

Take Yoshi on an epic adventure to remember in Yoshi Land for Nintendo Wii U. Check out Yoshi as you’ve never seen him before: in glorious high definition. Enjoy dual-screen control thanks to the Wii U Touchscreen GamePad, while you’ll also be able to experience full integration with Nintendo’s MiiVerse service.

“Yoshi’s Island” was a great game for the Super Nintendo back in the day and proved that Yoshi could hold his own without (a full grown) Mario on his back. However, that doesn’t change the fact that the listing could simply be a place holder. Then again, Best Buy Canada just leaked the Wii Mini ahead of schedule, so maybe they’ve done it again. Either way, once some solid info hits the newswire we’ll be sure to fill you in.
