The digital film festival is a collaboration between gaming YouTube channel Machinima and the filmmakers at iam8bit Productions, running from November 30 through December 8 at iam8bit’s L.A. studio. The festival will serve as the debut for new digital content from a crop of filmmakers and animators and will run in conjunction with new content on Machinima’s YouTube channel.
For those of you familiar with iam8bit, they’re a gaming friendly production company who specialize in ads, promotions, and art installations related to games. They even tagged up the new Spike TV offices in Santa Monica with a bunch of art. The studio regularly holds gallery events at their 4500 sq. foot space in Echo Park, but with MIFF, they’ll be sharing the limelight with up-and-coming artists.
You can find more information about MIFF on the iam8bit site.
