PlayStation Plus Coming To The Vita Next Week Along With Firmware 2.0

Sony continues to integrate their PS3/Vita experiences with the November 19th's 2.0 firmware update which will bring a slew of changes and fixes to the handheld while also launching the PlayStation Plus subscription/discount service for the Vita.

The service will debut with six titles at launch: "Uncharted: The Golden Abyss," "Gravity Rush," "Wipeout 2048," "Jet Set Radio," "Final Fantasy Tactics," and "Mutant Blobs Attack!" That's a healthy blend of first and third-party offerings out of the gate, with really only a couple of titles that might feel a little long in the tooth at this point.

Besides making their pitch for your monthly monies with PS Plus, the 2.0 update will also bring cross-platform e-mail support, allowing you to read and send mail directly from the Vita, wireless content transfer between the Vita and PS3, touchpad support for select PSOne games, and HTML5/Java support for the web browser.

The update will be available on Monday, November 19th.
