An element of Hitman: Absolution that might make IO Interactive’s sequel feel a little more dynamic than other stealth games is what they’re touting in this trailer as a living, breathing world. What that boils down to is apparently a deep layer of scripting that allows the game’s NPCs to be reactive to Agent 47 in varied ways while also providing them with little vignettes that play out if you watch them long enough.
That sounds like it’ll translate into a missions where it might be interesting to sometimes simply eavesdrop on the weird domestic dramas going on around its hero, but I’m curious how this will play out in their actual reactions to the bald killer beyond the usual fight or flight response.
Hitman: Absolution will be available on consoles and the PC on November 20th.
