“Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” was one of the top-selling games of all time for the PlayStation 2 and to celebrate the game's 10th anniversary Rockstar and 2K are bringing the open-world 80's romp to Android and iOS devices later this month.
"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City gave players the freedom of a massive open-world in one of the most iconic and vibrant settings ever realized in a game,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “It was a defining moment in the series and we're delighted to be celebrating its 10th anniversary this year with a stunning, updated version for phones and tablets.”
Apparently, the new mobile version of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City brings the full experience to mobile devices, including several enhancements unique to the iOS and Android. On top of that, a limited edition run of GTA collectibles will be made available for purchase through the Rockstar Games Warehouse.
No specific release date has been revealed for GTA: Vice City on Android and iOS, but Rockstar did say it will be available “later this fall.” In the meantime you can grab GTA III on iOS and Android for $.99 and Chinatown Wars for $.99 on iOS.
