Would like it if your weapons could prestige in the next Call of Duty? Well, I certainly hope so, because that looks to be the case for "Call of Duty: Black Ops II". In recent postings on Twitter, the new feature was revealed Treyarch senior game design director David Vonderhaar.
Apparently, each gun you have will be able to prestige two times, on top of the 55 levels and 10 prestige levels your character has. Also, weapon level and weapon prestige are completely separate from your profile level and prestige, meaning when you prestige your weapon level/prestige is not affected.
As any Call of Duty fan should know, weapon leveling was first introduced in Modern Warfare 3, which many of us are still playing. However, it looks like Treyarch is taking the idea one step further in Black Ops II. And why not? If your gun can level up it may as well be able to prestige, right?
What do you think of weapon prestige? Is it a good idea or a bad one? Will this add to the overall experience, or will it only complicate things? Hit the comments and share your thoughts!
