Plus, they don’t mind if you make your own role-playing games as their REDkit RPG development tool heads into closed beta.
Based on the pen and paper RPG Cyberpunk 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 will include the participation of creator Mike Pondsmith. Over on the game’s recently-launched blog, Pondsmith explained why he chose to work with the Polish studio behind The Witcher games, while they countered with why Cyberpunk was a natural fit for their studio.
The game will be set in the fictional Night City, a multi-thread, sandbox RPG according to the press release. The studio doesn’t mind getting down into the dirt with mature, messy storylines, although after The Witcher 2, here’s hoping they might look at refining their storytelling so one doesn’t need a road map to follow the plot.
