‘Battlefield: Bad Company’ Series Coming To A TV Near You?

Deadline is reporting that Fox plans on developing an hour-long comedy action series based on the Bad Company shooters.

The project is being set up under Alias’s John Eisendrath as writer, Sony TV, and Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison studio. It will follow four soldiers who return to civilian life only to learn that their CO tricked them into carrying out dirty ops on behalf of a shadowy organization. Sounds like shades of The A-Team, and with Happy Madison on board, it’s likely that it’ll never take itself too seriously.

I’m not very familiar with the fiction in the games, but to those of you reading out there, do you feel like it would translate well as a weekly, hour-long action series?
