The paint splashing puzzler from Giant Sparrow is on the way October 23rd (or October 16th for PlayStation Plus members).
The painting mechanic is framed by the story of orphan Monroe, whose late mother didn’t complete one of her paintings before her death, the titular “The Unfinished Swan.” Allowed to take the painting with him to the orphanage, Monroe is one day drawn into the artistically-inspired world where he has to learn more about the mysterious king who created it.
Curious: this is the second major PSN release this year to feature childhood trauma as the backdrop for its story. While Papo & Yo was inspired by its creative director’s troubled childhood with an alcoholic father, you can learn a little more about the reasoning behind The Unfinished Swan in the newly-released developer video below:
