The Silent Hill sequel gets a short TV spot chock full of new footage from the October 23rd release. More fetish monsters, a girl being turned into plastic, and even more Pyramid Head are what's in store for people looking forward to Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.
Directed by the long-shelved Solomon Kane and the very interesting WWI horror movie Deathwatch, Revelation 3D didn't make a great impression during its SDCC panel. Based on the snippet me and the audience saw featuring the doll monster in the trailer, the 3D is very much going to be of the "things poking you in the eyes awkwardly" variety while the assembled cast of talented performers try to bury their British and Australian accents.
The first film by Hitman director Christopher Gans was no great shakes, but some parts of the Roger Avary-penned script worked (it had something interesting and kind of horrible about motherhood and protective mothers). Right now, my impression is that this will be a lot of chase-based, teen panic stuff with a bunch more mythology-building.
Silent Hill: Revelations 3D opens October 26th.
