‘XCOM: Enemy Uknown’ Designer Jake Solomon Can’t Get People To Buy the Game Early

“It’s like chess with big guns and aliens. Which now that I think about it, isn’t like chess at all.”

2K Games put together this cute hidden camera video of XCOM: Enemy Unknown lead designer Jake Solomon attempting to hock the console and PC strategy game to shoppers at a Maryland video game specialty shop.

The secret to the whole bit: no one likes being approached by strangers, especially non-gamers trying to navigate the uncharted waters of the local, often baffling video game shop. Bonus points to the kid who says he’ll get his whole squad killed, by the way.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be out next week for the 360, PS3, and PC.
