Max Payne 3's Hostage Negotiation DLC map pack was supposed to hit download queues this September. Obviously, that release window has come and gone, and Rockstar has released an official statement noting that the additional content has been delayed until sometime this fall.
"Our apologies to Max Payne fans who've been waiting for this one and the other upcoming packs; we're working hard to bring you this and all the other DLC and should have a release date to announce for this next pack very soon," Rockstar said in the statement.
The Hostage Negotiation DLC brings four new multiplayer maps to the threequel – Club Moderno, Estadio Do Galatians, O Palacio Strip Club, and Favela Heights – along with three new character items – the Intimidation Mask, which slows down opponents' reload time, the Bomb Suit to protect against explosives, and Explosive Burst, which is capable of creating fiery booby traps. Hostage Negotiation also introduces players to two new weapons – the M24 Sniper Rifle and the IA2 Assault Rifle.
When the new DLC pack does finally launch it will set eager gamers back $10 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Unless, of course, you happened to pick up the Rockstar Pass, which entitles players to all the Max Payne DLC for a one-time $30 fee.
