For whatever reason, it looks like all of the publishers have picked the third day of the week to start making noise about their trilogy releases. This morning it was all about Angry Birds dropping on consoles and the 3DS, and later Mass Effect getting a collected edition, and now Ubisoft is announcing that the adventures of Ezio are being collected in the PS3-exclusive Assassin's Creed: Ezio Trilogy.
The release will collect Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed Revelations on a single disc in November 13th for a suggested retail price of $39.99.
The arrival of Ezio was the point where Assassin's Creed really came alive for me after the dour to the point of being miserable Altair made the first game in the series such a chore. While it remains to be seen how Connor will shake out as a lead, Ubisoft did good work making Ezio so charismatic that it's almost a bummer that the series has shifted focus away from him.
