A Full Expansion and Free Updates on the Way to 'Dragon's Dogma'

Capcom has a set of new community-focused features on the way to their open world RPG along with its first expansion in 2013 with the "Dark Risen" DLC.

Before the year's out, Capcom promises two new modes to Dragon's Dogma to unlock new gear and weapons. In Speedrun, players will be challenged with finishing the entire game within a set amount of time in order to unlock new equipment for subsequent playthroughs. Meanwhile Hard Mode cranks up the toughness of Dragon's Dogma's enemies, but defeating them will yield more special loot.

The announcement also provided the name of the game's first expansion: "Dark Arisen." This DLC doesn't have an official release date beyond sometime in 2013 or even any specific story details, but Capcom promises that they'll be shooting out some more news on this release in the near future.
