Sony Raises the Curtain on ‘The Puppeteer’

Puppeteer TGS Trailer

Briging the total number of puppet-themed games out in the current generation up to two (see also, The Gunstringer), The Puppeteer gets a new trailer out of the Tokyo Game Show.

The new trailer expands on the story details for the title, which is a platformer? Maybe? The plot involves a boy name Kutaro who’s been transformed into a puppet and must escape the evil clutches of the Moon Bear King and his black castle. Kutaro will use a pair of magic scissors to “cut and crop” his way out of an evolving fantasy realm while swapping out heads as appropriate for each situation (shades of the underrated and under-played Dead Head Fred, there).

No word on a release date for this one, but we’ll be keeping an eye out on this visually arresting, baffling title out of Sony.
