What’s Next For Keiji Inafune? Zombies, Mechs, and Ninjas [Updated With Teaser]

[Update: And now we have our first cel-shaded teaser for the upcoming game]

Original story:

Life post-Capcom has been pretty busy for Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune. In addition to the dark fantasy PS Vita title Soul Sacrifice at MarvelousAQL, he’s been cooking up a secret project which is apparently getting revealed in the upcoming issue of Famitsu.

The new title is called Yaiba and will see Inafune wading back into the realm of the living dead after producing Dead Rising. From what little Famitsu has been able to pass along about the game, it will blend zombies, ninja, mecha, and action for unannounced consoles. We can look forward to a video reveal of the game on September 13th–possibly an introduction by its director and hopefully some footage depending on how far along the title is in development.
