'L.A. Noire' Team's 'Whore of the Orient' Gets Console Destination, New Site, Publisher

Team Bondi's latest has been picked up by Warner Brothers as the developer moves from the City of Angels to the mean streets of Shanghai in 1936. And from the description on the developer's new site, it looks like it'll be heading to the next generation of consoles and the PC.

We've got plot details about the new cop drama after the jump.

Team Bondi doesn't appear to be done playing cops and robbers, bringing details about Whore of the Orient, which will be making its way to Sony and Microsoft's new consoles. It's a particularly rich period in Chinese history when the nation was going through political and social upheaval.

Here's the official synopsis:

Shanghai, 1936. Whore of the Orient. Paris of the East. The most corrupt and decadent city on the planet, where anything can be had or done for the right price. Plaything of Western powers who greedily exploit the Chinese masses. Boiling pot of Chinese nationalism, with the Kuomintang ruthlessly trying to suppress Communism and the labour movement. Home to the International Police Force, a group of Western cops hopelessly trying to keep the lid on and keep the peace.

whore of the Orient isn't Team Bondi's only project: they're also working with Mad Max director George Miller on developing a video game follow up to the post apocalyptic classic.
