The 2006 title will be the first of five announced games for Square Enix's free-to-play, browser-based, HD gaming service.
The service, developed by Hapti Co. Studios using Google browser tools is Square Enix's answer to cloud gaming featuring their own catalog which has over the years added IP from companies like Core and Crystal Dynamics--and of course, Hitman developer IO Interactive.
Among the other titles announced for the service: Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and Mini Ninjas with Tomb Raider: Underworld and the puzzler Gyromancer currently under development.
COREONLINE will be ad-supported, but of course you have an out if you want to either purchase levels or entire games to get out of having to sit through promotional content.
The site is currently in its beta phase, but you can check it out and mess around with the available titles now
