Xbox 360 Essentials Pack Could Save You Some Dough

If you're looking to get a friend or family member onto Xbox Live this holiday season so you can stomp them when Black Ops 2 hits, Microsoft is taking care of you. They recently revealed a new bundle that throws all the stuff a newbie will need to get the HD online showdown started.

The Xbox 360 Essentials Pack includes a wireless Xbox controller, the Media Remote for watching your shows, an HDMI cable and a 3-month Xbox Live Gold membership. Microsoft says you'll be saving nearly $55 getting all this gear in their bundle and though that might be a stretch, its still cheaper than buying them individually at full retail price. Of course, there are bound to be some sales around the holiday season, in which case this may not be the best option.

If you thought you were going to get the holiday shopping done this early, you need to slow down. The Xbox 360 Essentials pack won't be hitting store shelves or your favorite online retailer until October. But that gives you plenty of time to look for deals elsewhere.
