With Wii U's release date drawing inevitably closer the rumors just keep pouring out. Now, it seems an internal Best Buy email has spilled the beans on when we can expect to pre-order Nintendo's first HD console, which also gives us a bit of clue as to when Nintendo will reveal pricing and a release date.
First spotted by GoNintendo's anonymous source, the supposed email says, “Wii U cannot be pre-ordered industry-wide until September. However, through the magic of BestBuy.com, customers can sign up to be notified via email when pre-orders become available.”
So, if this email is in fact real, it tells us two things. First, that we'll be able to pre-order a Nintendo Wii U as early as next month. The second thing really isn't as obvious, but it's clear that Nintendo will have to reveal a release date and pricing before, or when pre-orders begin. That said, we imagine an announcement regarding this information should be coming very soon, as September is only a mere 10 days away.
For now it's just a rumor, so we all need to take this information with a grain of salt. You can bet we'll be sitting here with our toes crossed, hoping for the official word just like you.
