Put Down Your Paint Cans, Pick Up Your Phone: ‘Jet Set Radio’ Is Going Mobile

So now you can rollerblade while playing SEGA’s rollerblading graffiti game: Android and iOS versions of the HD remake are on the way this summer, to be released alongside its console and PC counterparts.

According to this morning’s press release, Jet Set Radio HD’s mobile port will be nearly identical to the PC, XBLA, and PSN versions on the way later this summer. That means the same level content as well as the soundtrack which I’m constantly afraid will be amended in some way.

The mobile-specific change will be the achievements that you can upload to Facebook along with the ability to use your mobile device’s camera to snap photos and use them as graffiti in-game. The announcement didn’t specify how the controls were being handled (virtual joystick for the skating, touch for the graffiti, I guess?). I’ve followed up with SEGA and hope to have some information for you soon.
