The Game Genie Returns, Now Available For PS3!

Earlier this year, during CES 2012, Hyperkin revealed they were bringing back the classic Game Genie cheat system many of you may remember from the glory days of NES, SNES and the Sega Genesis. They released the Nintendo 3DS version quite some time ago, but have just announced that the PS3 version is now available.

The old Game Genie systems attached to our game cartridges back in the day, but this new version for PS3 is thankfully up to date with today’s gaming. It’s actually not as much a cheat device as it is a saved game editor – the main unit is just flash drive. Load your game saves on the drive, edit the saves using Hyperkin’s database on your PC and you’re ready to go. Because it’s just a flash drive, you can even share your cheater-cheater pumpkin eater saves with fellow cheater-cheater pumpkin eaters!

“The Game Genie Save Editor for PS3 is a breakthrough for gamers everywhere,” said Steven Mar, Hyperkin’s Executive Director. “The Game Genie Save Editor allows for even the most novice gamers to breeze past the hard or boring parts of games, leveling the playing field for a more enjoyable experience.”

The system doesn’t require any jailbreaking or mods to your console and Hyperkin already has quite a library of games for you to cheat through, including Batman: Arkham City, Mortal Kombat, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and 64 others. Hyperkin also says the database, which can be found at, will be frequently updated with new titles… CHEATER!
