LucasArts Is Working On A New First-Person Shooter

Earlier this year, at E3 2012, LucasArts showed off an awesome tech demo for the new Star Wars 1313, but it already looks like they are getting ready for another project -- more specifically, a first-person shooter.

While there's no telling at this point whether or not the new title will be related to Star Wars is any way, four new job postings have been listed on the company's recruiting page - Senior AI Engineer, Senior Animator, Senior Core Engineer, and Gameplay Engineer – all related to the FPS project.

Unfortunately for us, the listings don't really any juicy info, though the Gameplay Engineer will need to be proficient in Unreal Engine 3 and UnrealScript while the Senior core Engineer will be expected to implement “features and optimizations on current and Future Generation console and PC hardware.”

So what could this mystery project be? Though many fans would suffer a geek-rage induced heart attack at the sight of Battlefront 3 happening, the first two games were set in a third-person perspective and regardless of how much we want it to happen it simply may not. Another idea is the possibility of a new Republic Commando game, but it's really anyone's guess at this point. After all, we don't even know if its a Star Wars game to begin with. Either way, feel free to leave your furious speculation in the comments section!
