SEGA: Today's Right For a NiGHTS HD Remake

Exactly 16 years to the day after the release of the original "flying platformer," SEGA announces that NiGHTS into dreams... is heading to the PC. 360, and PS3 as a downloadable release.

The Saturn-era classic is coming to XBLA, PSN, and PC downloadable services with both HD-rejiggered graphics as well as a "Saturn Mode" to let you check out the game in its original, SD glory.

The original was a jewel in the Saturn's briefly-worn crown (that's a saying, right), and there's always been some kind of clamor for a remake or sequel. Unfortunately, the Wii return to the fantasy land of Nightopia wasn't especially well-received. So it looks like SEGA is going back to original to give fans what they want.

The release will include the usual host of trophy/achievement support and leaderboards. No word on pricing or a release date.
