Namco x Capcom x SEGA Mash-Up ‘Project X Zone’ Gets Cover Art, Trailer Date

The RPG that brings together a host of major characters from each of the publishers will probably make your Sonic/Pac Man/Mega Man dreams come true.

Next week, on July 2nd, the combo project from SEGA, Namco Bandai, and Capcom will be getting a promotional video at 11:00 AM Japan time (GMT +9 hours). The 3DS tactical role playing game will allow you to fight something like 200 characters across the three companies, featuring over 70 voice actors. The game is under development from Monolith Soft (Xenosaga I & II) and Banpresto (Super Robot Wars).

The box art above is from Namco Banda illustrator Masato Morioka.

You can check out a trailer from April for the game below:

I’m digging the art style they’ve gone with for the cast, giving everyone a unified look without losing some of the style for which those characters are known.

Project X Zone will be released in Japan on October 11th. No word on a stateside release, though.
