“Marvel vs. Capcom: The Complete Works” Celebrates Almost 20 Years of Gaming History

Udon, in collaboration with Capcom has put together a nearly 200-page art book that’s getting a very limited hardcover edition for San Diego Comic-Con.

Marvel vs. Capcom: The Complete Works was compiled by the art collective Udon, detailing the entire span of Capcom’s long relationship with comics publisher Marvel Comics, all the way back to 1993’s side-scrolling arcade beat-’em-up, The Punisher. The collection includes promo art, character drawings, sketches, and 17 pages of new art exclusive to this collection.

If you have the cash (and if you’re fast enough), during this year’s SDCC, you can pick up one of 200 convention-exclusive hardcover copies for $100. This version will include a wraparound cover by Marvel vs. Capcom artist Alvin Lee and will be available starting July 11th. Or, if you can’t make it out to San Diego this year, you can pick the book up in November when the softcover edition goes on sale. That edition will set you back the far less substantial $44.99 and is available for preorder now.
