Mechs-a-Plenty: "Zone of Enders HD Collection" In Screenshots

Gameplay and anime cutscenes for your perusal after the jump.

Fancy robots! Zone of Enders and Zone of Enders: The Second Runner has them. So, of course, will their HD remakes, and you can gaze at them in the gallery below.

The HD Collection (the third of Konami's recent HD remake releases this year) promises to visually enhance elements of the PS2 titles, allowing you to see more elements like additional visual details on the individual mechs' (or Orbital Frames, as they're called here) emblems.

I believe Sunrise, the studio behind the Zone of Enders OVA was also responsible for the animated cutscenes in the game, and you can see how those turned out in the image below. The visuals for the animated sequences were obviously not done with HD compositions in mind, so I'm wondering if they'll be presented in their original aspect ratio or if they're being stretched for the HD release.

Based on the screens below, it looks like the latter.

Zone of Enders HD Collection hasn't been dated, but should be out later this year for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
