D3 Publishing Pid Coming to XBLA

By Jeffrey Matulef

Gravity defying platformer Pid will see a release on XBLA via publisher D3 (Earth Defense Force 2017).

Pid developer Might and Delight is comprised of several employees from the now defunct studio Grin, who worked on Bionic Commando: Rearmed. The team also contains staffers who worked on Mirror’s Edge, Battlefield, and Killzone.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to share Pid with as wide of an audience as possible,” said managing director at Might and Delight, Wendy Young. “We’re maintaining complete creative control and are combining that with the distribution support of a great publisher.”

Vice president of business development and licensing, Bill Anker added, “We’re entirely thrilled to have Pid join our roster of great titles for all gamers... Pid is a unique game and we know people will love it when it launches later this year.”

The press release also states the game will be coming to PSN and PC as well, though no publisher has been attributed to those versions, suggesting they may be released later.
